This 4h-training in Photogrammetry will introduce the basis of photogrammetry acquisition techniques (3D surface digitizing from digital photographs) for the 3D assets production. The workshop aims to introduce photogrammetric practice as well as its overall workflow. The main objective will be that everyone will be able to understand and make 3D models based on this acquisition technique and judge the quality of this type of modeling.

Presentation of PANORAMA works and explanation of 3D in cultural heritage acquisition.
10:30-11:00 - Coffee break
11:00-12:15 - Part2
Theoretical point of view and techniques, a global photogrammetric workflow to obtain usable assets.
Acquisition: Learn the necessary parameters and good practices for optimal photogrammetric acquisition. Different acquisition approaches with camera and drones for assets and terrain (studio, terrestrial and aerial photogrammetry).
Image Pre-processing: Optimisation of the datas and photographic treatments to avoid reconstruction artifacts, key of clean photogrammetric models (distortions, color corrections, enhancements).
Photogrammetric reconstructions: Material needs, configuration and examples. Explanation of the epipolar geometry and it's application in photogrammetric softwares.
Post-processing: Results corrections and modifications and generation of third-party textures. Presentation of all problems and resolution in photogrammetric mesh and texture treatments.
Asset publication: The final model and its the different uses : photorealistic rendering, animation rigging, games assets and VR, dense cloud publication or BIM integration.
Different case studies : Drone photogrammetry and terrestrial photogrammetry merging, use of laserscan datas with photogrammetry acquisitions, usage of dense pointcloud from photogrammetry.
