Mel Slater is with University of Barcelona and co-Director of the lab for Experimental Virtual Environments for Neuroscience & Technology. He has been a Professor of Computer Science at UCL, UK. Since the early 1990s, his research has focused on virtual reality (VR) including applications in psychology, and the cognitive neuroscience of how the brain represents the body. He is Field Editor of Frontiers in Robotics & AI. He is supported by an Advanced European Research Council Grant.
